Job Responsibilities

  • To perform assigned tasks on-time and efficiently, either from customer premises or WFH, for Telecom INTERCONNECT Solutions, in Front End, Back End & Integration, Operation and Support,
  • Understanding of Telecom Mediation, Rating & Billing application as a whole to function end to end in a large telco environment with clear concept.
  • Capable to perform different configurations like Short Code, Long Code, ITFS, LTFS, New number series & number prefix, new route configurations, configure new ICX, IGW, IOS, MNO, IPTSP & MFS operators in the billing system in general
  • Configuration of different charging criteria like VOICE, SMS, USSD, DATA etc.
  • Run business operation for Interconnect as per defined Task & SLA for customer.
  • Operation maintenance for interconnect nodes, Dispute handling, Co-ordination with different stakeholders as per customer need, node segregation and processing for load optimization etc.
  • Monitoring system processes responsible for CDR registration till aggregation, follow customer defined process & policies in operation
  • Do configuration changes in Interconnect solution, functional testing of application after the changes, verify and do UAT with business stakeholders for production implementation.
  • Support Interconnect applications, trouble shooting, manage business operation during high & critical severity issues including front-end and back-end from Onsite/WFH.
  • Handle all types of High, Medium & Low incidents, which directly impact the customer business revenue
  • Capable to understand north bound/south bound application and 3rd Party solutions of different vendors implemented as integrated solutions for a Telecom Operator, and continued follow up with development teams for faster resolution (for cases related to current functionalities delivered to customer).
  • Develop Shell scripts, PL/SQL objects like function, procedures, packages, triggers as and when required.
  • Familiar with reporting and analysis of CDR route, Call volume, modify reports, do change management reviews, publish weekly and monthly reports, pro-active in handling different system failures and approach for quick resolve, weekly/ monthly call exchange analysis, active/inactive user lists, Interconnect Revenue Assurance, attend regulatory and commercial stakeholders
  • Develop manual and automated reports in the existing systems, optimize reports for best performance, automate business reports and functions that are recurring in nature.
  • Work in customer premises with 100% Security and Compliance maintained.

Additional Requirements

  • Years of Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience working for large environment is must.
  • Hands on experience in Telco Mediation, Rating & Billing Solutions, different Linux based OS, Oracle Database knowledge, Oracle Application Server knowledge, Shell scripts, different hardware and software environments as standalone or cluster etc.
  • Proven skills in writing SQL, PL/ SQL, and other database objects like Function, Procedure, Packages, Jobs, Triggers either to create as new, modify etc.
  • Certifications in Linux, Oracle DB, Oracle Applications is a plus
  • Different tools and technologies that are must need to work in any telecom operator environment
  • Experience with large telco environment, security compliance process & policies
  • Experience in different internal and external IT audit functions, procedures with know how in accomplishing the target objectives
